Which network does Wingo use?

Wingo uses the Swisscom network to provide all its telecommunications services. Both Swisscom subscribers and prepaid customers have the ability to use the Swisscom mobile network to browse the internet, make calls, and send text messages.

Starting in 2023, Wingo began offering its customers the option to browse on the Swisscom 5G network. If not already included in your plan, all Wingo customers can access the Wingo 5G network by activating the Full Speed 5G option for 10 CHF per month. This option can be canceled at any time by stopping the monthly renewal directly within the Wingo Cockpit or myWingo.

With the 5G network, Wingo customers can browse at a maximum speed of 2 Gbps. If you haven't activated the "Full Speed 5G" option or if your plan doesn't include 5G, you'll always browse at the maximum speed offered by the Swisscom 4G network, which is 300 Mbps. Wingo does not impose any reductions on the maximum browsing speed.
