Which Router Does Sunrise Offer?
With a new Sunrise Up Connect or Sunrise Up Home subscription, you receive a free official Sunrise modem router for easy and fast internet access.

Installing the Sunrise Modem
After ordering a Sunrise subscription, you will receive a package by mail containing the modem for installing your new internet connection. Here are the instructions for correctly installing the Sunrise modem:
Connect your Sunrise modem to the power supply using the provided cable and turn on the modem by pressing the on/off button on the left side (initial startup may take up to 2 minutes).
Connect the DSL or fiber optic cable by inserting one end into the wall socket and the other into the corresponding port on the side or back of the modem.
Wait for the modem's automatic configuration to complete. This process is fully automatic and may take up to 10 minutes. The configuration is complete once the LED indicators illuminate with a steady white light.
Connect your devices to the Sunrise modem via WLAN or LAN. For WLAN connection, use the password and network name found on the bottom of the modem.
Depending on the Sunrise modem model you receive, the instructions on this page may vary slightly. It is recommended to follow the printed instructions provided with the router.
Tips for Correct Sunrise Modem Installation:
Install the modem slightly elevated to prevent the Wi-Fi signal from being obstructed by furniture or other obstacles.
Place the modem in an open area, avoiding placement in a cabinet or behind objects on a shelf, to allow the signal to radiate in all directions.
Orient the Wi-Fi so that the LEDs face the room and not the wall.
Position the modem as illustrated in the manufacturer's booklet, not on its side, to prevent overheating of the circuits.
How to Change the Name and Password of the Sunrise Wi-Fi?
The network name (SSID) and password for your Wi-Fi are provided with the modem: the default information is found on a sticker on the bottom of your Sunrise Internet Box.
To change the name and password of your Sunrise Wi-Fi, log in to your My Sunrise account, select the internet product from the overview, and start the process to change the Wi-Fi name and password.
Explanation of the LED Symbols on the Sunrise Modem
Here are the meanings of the main LED icons on your Sunrise modem:
🔄: The arrow symbol indicates the DSL/fiber connection. If this LED is off, it means the network is not active, so check if the socket is properly connected.
@: The email symbol indicates the IP WAN internet signal operation. If this LED is off, it means the signal is absent.
🔧: The wrench symbol indicates a software update process on the modem. If it blinks, it means a firmware or service update is in progress.
📺: The TV symbol indicates the connection to the TV box. If the light is on, the set-top box is correctly connected.
🛜: The wireless signal symbol is the indicator of the 2.4 or 5G Wi-Fi emitted by the router. If the light is steady, the Wi-Fi (WLAN) is enabled. If the signal blinks, a problem has been detected. If it blinks quickly, an Easy-Pairing with a device (e.g., Sunrise TV Box) is in progress. If off, the Wi-Fi is disabled.
