Sunrise mobile and internet subscriptions will see a 1.8% price increase starting March 1, 2025, due to inflation.
Sunrise, one of the three major universal providers (internet and mobile) in Switzerland, recently announced this price adjustment, which will come into effect this March.
Summary of the Announcement:
Starting March 1, 2025, the monthly base fees for Sunrise subscriptions will increase by approximately 1.8%.
The increase is tied to last year's rising costs.
Certain subscriptions, prepaid offers, and installment payments for devices are excluded from this increase.
Existing discounts will remain valid but will be adjusted proportionally to reflect the new prices.
Customers can terminate their contract to avoid the increase.
Why is Sunrise Raising Prices, and by How Much?
Sunrise has unilaterally announced that the monthly base fees for its subscriptions will rise by approximately 1.8% starting in March 2025.
This increase is attributed to the rising costs of the past year, which have also driven up Sunrise's infrastructure operating expenses. Specifically, the operator identified the following cost increases:
Energy costs (impacting electricity supply to the mobile network).
Rental expenses.
Labor and construction costs.
Access fees for third-party networks.
Insurance costs.
